Hey!
Since my year in Tokyo is coming to an end soon *boohoo* I'm squeezing in as much sightseeing as possible! Last week I went on a little trip to Kobe and Osaka. While I was there I had to visit Universal Studios Japan, it's like Disneyland...but filled with Minions. And Elmo.
After watching about 50 documentaries this year on Netflix the one that happened to stand out to me the most was the one about the puppeteer behind Elmo. So when I saw the Sesame Street headbands I had to get one! I felt bad because I chose Big Bird and not Elmo but the colour scheme was better...soz Elmo :(
As with many places in Japan, USJ was the perfect backdrop for taking billions of cute photos. I mean look at those Hello Kitty cupcakes, strangely sponsored by a doughnut company, so cute right??
Even while I was on the ride I was still in a picture taking mood. Always be ready for a photo-op!
Japanese people are really big on dressing up in theme so I decided to follow suit! I realise I'm wearing a Disney top, I know I know they're not the same, but I had nothing better to go with the cinematic theme of the park! One of the staff said it was kawaii anyway so I guess it passes the USJ approved test.
The Mickey Mouse on my top is a wizard so continuing with the magical theme I wore my Sailor Moon socks that I got from the Roppongi Hills exhibition a while ago. Adding a bit more sparkle with my unicorn backpack and a dash of edge with my choker and matching bracelet and you've got a winning combo!
Choom xoxo
