Hey!
Being huge fans of Japanese pop culture we decided to attend Hyperjapan this year to check out this event dedicated to celebrating Japan's cool culture. Choom has been many times before but this was Shady's first time. On top of that we were also in the fashion show that took place on the Saturday and Sunday of that weekend so we decided to go in twinning looks on both days.
Our look for the Saturday show was kimono inspired. Choom went for a darker look with heavy makeup while Shady went for a contrasting lighter look, almost beach-y!
Choom loves this oversized kimono style jacket she got from Rokit Vintage. The fact that it drags on the floor is even better because it makes the look more dramatic. It was a billion degrees however in the O2 so the jacket was quickly removed after the fashion show.
Shady's kimono (actually Choom's kimono but sharing is caring!) by the French brand Jule Et Lily was fun and sweet as it was completely covered in doughnuts and to continue the cute food theme Shady wore a bra with ice cream print. Yum! The best part of this outfit were the sunglasses for sure which say 'Shady as F*ck,' totally appropriate (for Shady) yet totally inappropriate (for Choom).
To complete the samurai/Bleach-esque look Choom went for rocking horse shoes which are surprisingly easy to walk in! Comfortable too!
Shady went all out with the beach and food theme with ice cream print socks and jelly shoes. You can never have enough food print to be honest, the more the better!
Bonus pic of Shady being cute for once! Aww so adorbs.
There were a lot of stalls to see selling cute accessories. One stall particularly stood out to us amongst all the kawaii which was Jane Nevermore which sold a range of chokers, necklaces and rings featuring planetary and alchemy symbols which is way cool. Check out their shop!
There were other cool stalls that we forgot to take pictures of (oops!) but we'll list them anyway. Roxie Sweetheart amazed us again with a brilliant collection of magical accessories and clothing - to be featured in upcoming outfits!! From statement unicorn necklaces to creepy cute rings this brand has it all, definitely give it a go :)
Another stall selling ultra kawaii accessories and clothing was Sugar Coated Sprinkles. All of the items are the perfect pastel colours! We particularly like the eyebow stockings, the best blend of creepy and cute.
The whole day we were getting papped left and right. We were even featured in Hunger Magazine! Ngl feeling a bit famous!
