Hey!

We wanted to bring our fave 2D anime characters to life! Rather than do an all out cosplay we wanted to incorporate gaming/anime inspiration into our outfits, because let's be honest, you can't quite call a cosplay an OOTD?? We picked two different games-turned-anime to base our outfits on, Shady chose Pokémon and Choom chose Dangan Ronpa.

Choom loves Junko Enoshima from Dangan Ronpa so she coordinated a pastelised version of the character's outfit! Listen Flavor, the brand of the tshirt Choom is wearing, currently has a huge selection of Dangan Ronpa themed clothing and accessories which was perfect for this outfit. The tshirt features Junko and Monokuma striking Junko's signature pose (which Choom copied haha.)

Shady transformed into a Pokémon master with her pastel pink themed ensemble. Her tshirt from Cool Shirtz shows the Fuschia City game map from the Kanto region, which is Shady's true home tbh.

In true twin style we paired our skirts, our fave, pleated American Apparel skirts. If you don't own at least one, wyd??

Another matchy matchy feature of this twin outfit post are the long socks. Choom went for under the knee navy socks which resemble typical Japanese school girl socks and Shady wore over the knee black socks, another cute choice!

And for once we didn't wear super huge platforms, only mini ones.

Accessories were really important to bring these outfits together. For Choom's outfit she wanted to do Junko's instantly recognisable hair, which is really hard to do with braids. So instead of doing two simple bunches she did three on each side to create layers, and voila! She then added huge kawaii head pieces. including a bunny head which was actually a necklace. And then added more creepy cute pastel accessories, even a bear face mask.

Shady's accessories are simple but effective. She's clearly a Pokémon master. The pastel beanie compliments her outfit perfectly. What is it with Pokémon trainers and hats?? The sweatband is also a great touch to this, cute and practical when you're capturing Pokémon. All the other accessories are perf, down to the small coat hanger earrings from Krokkomilk. So cute!

Shady has pimped her DS with a cool pink sticker, also from Cool Shirtz. She is a Poké pro and her friend code is 1950-9745-6060 if you feel like getting your butt kicked!

We finished off these outfits with our sidekick bags. Seeing as Choom's outfit was inspired by Junko it's only natural that her sidekick is Monokuma. Shady's chosen Pokémon is Jigglypuff in actual 3D!
